A New Year, A New Beginning

Kim here....I can't believe it's almost 2012! What are your plans for ringing in the new year? We are heading to the zoo for New Year's Eve. We are spending the day with the animals and then ringing in the new year at 8:00 with the boys, lights and a whole lot of fun!

With a new year approaching it's time to start thinking about goals and change. Do you have a resolution? Are you doing One Little Word? Are you ready for a fresh start or a new beginning? I have lots of goals for the new year and have my One Little Word narrowed down. I can't wait for 2012!

It's Kim here! I can't believe we have one more night before the big man in the red suit arrives and then next week we'll be counting down to the new year. What are your plans for New Year's Eve? We normally stay at home. We count down around 8:00 for the boys and then put them to bed. I end up scrapping and DH plays video games. This year we have decided to go to Brookfield Zoo for a night of fun! The boys are super excited about it and we are too. I am hoping for nice weather....a little snow might make the night a bit more magical too but I am afraid we are going to end up with rain. I think we are going to have a brown Christmas this year....and we are totally bummed!

It's Kim here.....can you believe there are only 9 more days until Christmas?!?! I don't know about your family, but mine is going CRAZY! They are all super excited to see what Santa brings them. We have been baking cookies, wrapping presents and getting ready for Christmas with the family.

Baking cookies is my boys' FAVORITE holiday thing to do...besides unwrapping presents. We have made several batches of cookies and are making one more tomorrow...one of my favorites...sugar cookies. It's always a fun time in our house when it comes time to decorate. We always have the "boy" cookie pile and the cookie pile that is suitable for all to eat! LOL In our house it's Decorate, Eat and then Repeat. The boys always eat as they decorate!

Here's a layout that I did with Holiday Bake Shoppe that is hitting the stores today! It shows what happens in our house when it's time to decorate cookies! This was Jason a few years ago...but things haven't change much!

Happy Friday Scrappers! It's Kim here on this cold Friday trying to warm you up with some Christmas cheer!

How many of you are done with your holiday shopping? We did the bulk a few weeks ago and are wrapping things up this weekend. We are pulling a shop til we drop Saturday....with THREE boys in tow! It's not going to be fun! We are determined to finish up buying for the great nieces and nephews and the rest of the family and call it quits for Christmas 2011. We are also planning a trip to Woodfield Mall to see Santa! The boys can't wait!

Being Thankful

Tis the season to be thankful! It's Kim here and boy do I have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season! I did a scrapbook page yesterday and it featured my boys and my parents. I am so thankful that my parents have been able to watch my 4 boys grow up! There is nothing I love more than seeing the huge smile on my parent's face and my boys' faces when they see each other! My parents are the best Mama and Papa (and parents too) and I am so thankful to have them!

Have you been keeping up with your 30 days of thanks? It's been a while since I have posted mine of Facebook but I still think about it every day. Bella Gypsy has the perfect kit out this week that will make it so easy to scrap about all those things you are thankful for!

It's almost that time of year for Trick or Treating! Can you say candy overload, sugar rushes and sugar induced comas?!?! My boys are super excited about putting their super hero costumes on and heading out with their treat bags in hand! They have been practicing "trick or treat, smell my feet..." for the past 6 months and are ready to fill their bags up with yummy chocolate and tons of sweets. Of course they NEVER eat all their candy and we usually still have some the NEXT Halloween but the excitement usually lasts for a few weeks afterwards!

Happy Friday! It's Kim here on this rainy and gloomy day. It's been a LONG time, but I am back with your Friday new release goodies so stay tuned every Friday for the scoop on new relases and a possible freebie. Life has been crazy in my house with 4 boys....we have one in college, one in kindergarten, one in preschool and one just learning how to walk and our recent move to a bigger house! I don't know if I am coming or going (or just going crazy) on most days but we have been working on a schedule and I am ready to make a Friday date with you on the blog!

Fall is definitely here in Chicagoland. The leaves have changed and are covering the ground now. We spent a few evenings this week raking and jumping in the leaves....and eventually bagged them up, but we still have tons more to rake. We have lots of fun fall activites planned in the weeks ahead too and are going to be very busy. Of course this is the baby's first fall so I was right there with the camera, taking pictures of him...screaming because he didn't like the leaves!

Hiya Bella Gypsy friends! Lena popping to say HI THERE! I have a message for you too! I want you to see my teal toes and I want to tell you a little bit about them. September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month. This isn't something that has been a worry for me, since I had my total hysterectomy 2 years ago...but I had my surgery because of years and years of cancerous cervical cells. It's nerve wracking and after all those years my doctor and I agreed it was time to act. Now, I don't have ovaries to have cancer in! Anyway, fellow scrapper, mommy, and blogger Melissa Lewis is fighting ovarian cancer right now and I've been following her blog. She has an amazing attitude and she is such an inspiration. When she posted a call to action, I wanted to join in by painting my toes teal for the month of September!

I'd really like YOU to do the SAME! Paint your toes teal and share a pic OR blog about ovarian cancer awareness OR make a social media post about ovarian cancer awareness (Twitter or Facebook) and then let Bella Gypsy you've done it! Sneak, Sneak, Sneak!

Hello Bella Gypsy Fans! Happy Monday to you!
I am not sure about you, but I am so loving the "spring forward" time change. The extra light at the end of the day is makes me feel as though I have more time to get "stuff" done. I know this is a highly debated topic. Some dislike daylight savings and others love it. If I had my wish, we would rid of it altogether and keep the clocks "sprung forward!" Now, if you're one that dislikes it, I most definitely do not wish to offend, I promise. There are pros and cons for both. I don't like that it's dark for a longer period of time in the morning. And I suppose that would be the downside of not moving our clocks back in the Fall/Wintertime. It would probably be dark until 7:30 a.m. (or even later) which isn't safe for the kids going to school.

Anyway, enough of my Daylight Savings chit chat...I have a wonderfully warm and gorgeous peek for you today.

Hello Scrappers! It's Kim here on this cold and snowy Friday to bring you some Bella Gypsy news. I know I have been absent for the past month and I have had a good reason! We welcomed our 4th son into the world on November 8th and have been adjusting to life with a newborn. It's been a crazy month but I am back now.

Hi Everyone! Kiana here! I hope everyone had a terrific Thanksgiving holiday. I was busy all week last week! It seems like the time just flew by. It was great to spend time with all of our family though. The last part of our weekend was spent getting ready for the Christmas season. We started a new tradition last year. We used to set up a "fake" tree but after 15 years of marriage it was not looking so good. We decided to give the real tree a try. We found a local tree farm to go to. You get to pick out and cut down your own tree. We had a really good time last year so we gave it a try again. I always worry that we will get the tree home and it will be way to big for our house. It is so hard to tell when they are outside in the wide open! Luckily we did pretty good. Decorating definitely got me in the mood for the holiday season. So here are a few Sketchology sets that will hopefully will inspire you to scrap your holiday photos!

Augh! Does anyone else just lose track of the days sometimes? Wow! I woke up today and realized it is Wednesday already! So since I am a little out of whack this week I am bringing some awesome template sets on Wednesday instead of Tuesday!

The Bella Gypsy Duo will be no more but Tabatha will continue on by herself after the first of the year and will sell at Elemental Scraps, Gotta Pixel and A Cherry on Top. You will still get the same awesome kits but it will be a solo act.

What does this mean for you? The Bella Gypsy Duo is having a HUGE end of the year sale. For the next two months everything will be $2 in their stores but you have to act fast because at the end of the year it will all retire for good. Tabatha will open her new stores with brand new goodies that will surely knock your socks off!

Falling for Fall

Hello Scrappers! It's Kim here on this sunny but very chilly Friday. Fall is definitely here this week. The leaves are changing colors and falling all around us. The boys were outside a few nights ago with all their neighborhood friends and they were having a blast raking up all the leaves in our front yard! They would rake a huge pile and then they would all jump in it! Of course I had to get out the camera and take tons of pictures...just like any mom would do! DH even got in the action and got out the leaf blower so he could help the girls and our boys get the biggest pile ever! The girls were even raking leaves from down the street and bringing them to our yard so they had more. They all had so much fun. I look forward to this time of year!

I can't believe it is time for the Gotta Grab It event already! The months are just flying by! Fall is definitely in the air here. Leaves are turning colors, and falling to the ground. Pumpkin stands are popping up all over, and the harvest is rounding up here. My toddler loves taking walks in the woods and hearing the leaves crunch under his feet. Kicking them up in the air is a lot of fun too! I have been in the mood for chili and apple cider! Yum! I can't believe it's nearing the middle of October already...the leaves are changing, the weather is getting cooler (even though we have had a warm spell this week in the midwest) and the kiddos are gearing up to go Trick or Treating in a few weeks! My boys are getting so excited about the upcoming fall plans...the pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins, raking leaves and of course getting lots of candy!

Happy Friday Scrappers! It's the first day of October...can you believe it...October is HERE! Wow! I really don't know where this year has gone. It has flown by. My family has MEGA changes happening very soon as we are nearing the end of my pregnancy.....the countdown is on! The boys have a timeline of when fun activities are happening and when their baby brother arrives and it seems that timeline is getting shorter and shorter as we approach the end of the year. October is one of those months where we have tons of things planned and I am sure you do too. There are so many fall activites to enjoy!

With Halloween right around the corner I am sure there has to be some little boys that admire Superman or want to dress up like another one of their favorite super heros. Fall is Here...almost!

Fall is definitely lurking in Northern Illinois now! I know the calendar says there are still a few more days before it's official but I don't think fall is going anywhere...the cooler nights, the crisp mornings, the changing leaves...they are all here to stay. It's Kim here on this cool Friday morning to bring you some new goodies that will make some fall time activities easier to scrap about!

Have you visited the apple orchard yet? We did last week and the boys had a blast! It was raining in the morning but then the sun came out and it was hot by noon! There wasn't a whole lot of people there so the boys could run around and play in the play area and mommy and daddy could relax a little bit because we could actually see them! We picked apples, rode on the hayride and enjoyed some other fall activities at the orchard...and brought home lots of sweet goodies too! Johnny Appleseed Day is coming up and Bella Gypsy has a delicious new bundle to help celebrate this special day!

Happy Friday Scrappers! It's Kim here on this cool and breezy Friday. It's going to be a spectacular day here and in digi-land! I told you earlier this week that I had some exciting news...Elemental Scraps has moved their new release day to Friday! Can you believe that it is September already? Fall is just around the corner. We have so many exciting things planned in September and the boys are super excited. Storytime starts back up in a few weeks, we are starting up our home preschool program again and we have a trip planned to the apple orchard and petting zoo. So much to do in one month.

Happy Tuesday Bella Gypsy Fans! Kiana here! How is your week so far? We have the hustle and bustle of back to school and sports here. So many new things are happening. The biggest one at our house is a new driver. My 15 yr. old driver started Driver's Ed. last week. Tomorrow she takes the written test to get her driver's permit! It seems like just yesterday she was my little princess. Now she is a lot more spunky and sassy. Bella Gypsy has the perfect kit for her. Have you seen the kit called "Brooklyn".
